My prototypical customer is someone who is young, they are in their late teens/the early 20s. This is because my product is for people who use Netflix or Hulu and the people who use these platforms tend to be younger. They are in college and love to watch Netflix on their free time but always find it difficult to find new shows/movies. They are very outgoing people and talk about their favorite shows with their friends. Most of the shows they've seen are based on suggestions that their friends have given them.
I have a few things in common with my prototypical customer, I also use Netflix and Hulu but struggle often to find shows/movies to watch. I mostly watch shows/movies based on friends suggestions. I am also a very outgoing person and discuss shows with my friends.
This sounds like the type of person that would use your product. I think you're right about the age group because most people that would download your service would probably be college students or people in high school. I think that the avatar could use some work though. Although the person selling this product may wear a suit, most people using it are probably laying around on their couch.
ReplyDeleteJorge, great job emphasizing the age range of your target consumer and connecting that image back to you and how you identify with this. Your personal stake in this service makes the venture all the more relatable and, as someone who falls into this group myself, I am more likely to utilize it because I know the person selling/offering it uses it to. Credibility adds a layer to your product and could even play out well in an anecdote you might choose to share on your service's website in a bio or story section. Some people like that kind of thing, at least I do.
ReplyDeleteHey Jorge, I think you created an accurate description of what characteristics the potential customer to your service might have. Having things in common with your customer avatar helps you have a better understanding of what the needs and wants are of customers interested in using a service like yours. One thing that needs some work is the picture of your customer, it seems somewhat generic. Great job overall!
